Former President of Delhi Chess Association Shri Dhiraj Raghuvanshi passed away today after battling against Covid-19 for the past two weeks.
He served as President of Delhi Chess Association from 1995 to 2001 and was President of Uttaranchal Chess Association at the time of demise.
Apart from chess front, he was a shrewed politician and served as General Secretary of Uttar Pradesh Youth Congress as well as Vice President of Uttarakhand State Kisan Congress in his political career.
With his untimely demise, Indian chess lost stalwart administrator who served more than 3 decades for the game. At this difficult hour we stand by his family and pray for his soul to rest in peace.
